Begin your journey in Guilin, cruising down the scenic Li River to the picturesque town of Yangshuo, famous for its karst mountains and riverside charm. Immerse yourself in rural life at local villages and rice terraces, including the majestic Terrazas de arroz de Longji. Explore the idyllic Yulong River and marvel at cycling or bamboo rafting among lush countryside scenery.
Continue to the border region and witness the power and beauty of the Cascada Detian, Asia’s largest transnational waterfall shared by China and Vietnam. Visit the mystic Mingshi and its “Chinese countryside paradise” before rounding out your adventure with cultural discoveries, minority villages, and unforgettable natural wonders – all with the guidance of experienced, English-speaking local guides.
Upon your arrival in Guilin, you will be greeted at the airport or train station and transferred to your hotel for check-in.
Today’s journey takes us from Guilin to Longsheng. Our first stop is Huangluo Yao Village, home to the Red Yao ethnic group known for their long hair traditions. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to interact with local villagers and learn about their customs and way of life.
Next, we’ll visit the iconic Longji Rice Terraces, a marvel of agricultural engineering that stretches across the hillsides, creating a stunning mosaic of terraced fields.
Our exploration continues with a visit to Ping’an Zhuang Village, where you can experience the art of making bamboo tube rice and taste the traditional oil tea.
After breakfast, we bid farewell to Longsheng and journey back to Guilin. We will have a leisurely stroll around Rongshan Lake Scenic Area, a tranquil oasis in the heart of the city.
Next, we’ll visit the iconic Sun and Moon Twin Pagodas, architectural marvels that symbolize Guilin’s rich cultural heritage. We’ll also explore the vibrant streets of Dongxi Alley and Xiaoyao Tower, where you can soak up the lively atmosphere and browse for souvenirs.
Today, we embark on a memorable Li River cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo. As we glide along the river, you’ll be captivated by the dramatic karst peaks rising majestically from the water, creating a mesmerizing panorama of natural beauty.
Upon reaching Yangshuo, we’ll explore West Street, a bustling hub of activity lined with quaint shops, cafes, and restaurants. After that, our guide will take you on a leisure stroll along the Yu Long River.
Returning to Guilin this morning. Our first stop is Reed Flute Cave, a natural limestone cave adorned with stunning stalactites, stalagmites, and rock formations.
Next, we’ll visit the Elephant Trunk Hill, a symbol of Guilin’s scenic beauty and a beloved landmark that has inspired poets and artists for centuries. After exploring these fascinating attractions, we’ll board a high-speed train to Nanning, the capital of Guangxi Province.
Our adventure continues as we depart from Nanning and make our way to Detian to uncover the natural wonders of Tongling Grand Canyon. Carved over millions of years by the forces of nature, the canyon features towering limestone cliffs, deep ravines, and crystal-clear streams, creating a dramatic and picturesque setting.
Our first destination is Detian Waterfall, one of the largest transnational waterfalls in Asia. We will take a bamboo raft to get close to the water fall. To get up close to the waterfall, we’ll ride on a bamboo raft excursion, allowing us to experience the sheer grandeur of the falls from a unique vantage point.
Afterward, we’ll explore the countryside surrounding Detian. Navigating the tranquil waters on a bamboo raft guided by a knowledgeable local, we’ll explore the charming village of Mingshi, nestled amidst towering karst peaks and verdant landscapes.
As our unforgettable journey comes to a close, we’ll ensure that you are comfortably transferred to the airport or train station for your departure. We recommend scheduling flights or trains departing after 12:30 PM to allow ample time for travel arrangements.
