We will visit the Folk Heritage Museum, learn everything about Bhutanese history and artifacts. We will also go to the Zorig Chusum (also known as the 13 Art and Craft School), and witness traditional arts being practiced by skilled local artists.
Ww will continue our cultural exploration at the Paper Factory to understand Bhutan’s papermaking process. Up next is Zilukha Nunnery, a Tibetan Buddhist monastery. Nearby is the Takin Center that is home to Bhutan’s national animal. As the day slowly ends, lose yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of the Craft Market.
After nice local breakfast we will drive to Phubjikha through the beautiful Dochula pass, where you can have view of the himalaya mountain ranges. On the way, we will have a detour and a 45-minute walk to Chimi Lakhang, a temple nestled amidst breathtaking landscapes. Afterwards you can relax as w continue our drive, feeling the gentle cool breeze as we move through the stunning Phubjikha Valley, renowned for its winter population of black-necked cranes.
