This carefully crafted 8-day tour in Nepal takes you through the vibrant streets of Kathmandu, the lush jungles of Chitwan National Park, and the picturesque city of Pokhara nestled in the Himalayas. Join us on an incredible 8-day journey to explore the cultural wonders and natural beauty of Nepal!
Our journey begins as we touch down at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu. The warmth of Nepal greets us as our friendly team assists us with a seamless transfer to our hotel.
Today, we delve into the cultural wonders of this ancient city. Our first stop is the iconic Boudhanath Stupa. We join the pilgrims as they perform their rituals, spinning prayer wheels and chanting mantras, immersing ourselves in the spiritual ambiance.
Next, we venture to the sacred Pashupatinath Temple, a revered Hindu pilgrimage site dedicated to Lord Shiva. Along the banks of the holy Bagmati River, we witness the profound rituals and ceremonies that blend tradition and faith.
Our journey continues to the enchanting Bhaktapur Durbar Square, a living museum that transports us back in time with intricate architecture. We wander through narrow streets, witnessing the traditional way of life and marveling at the Newari culture that still thrives here.
We end our day in Patan, also known as Lalitpur, a city renowned for its exquisite craftsmanship. Patan Durbar Square beckons us with its palaces and temples, adorned with intricate woodwork and metalwork.
Upon reaching Chitwan, we’re welcomed by the warm hospitality of the Tharu ethnic community. We kick off our Chitwan experience with a guided village walk, immersing ourselves in the local way of life.
In the evening, we gather for dinner accompanied by a captivating cultural program presented by the Tharu people. As the rhythmic beats of their stick dance and tribal drums fill the air, we can feel the energy and passion that emanate from their performances.
To wrap up the day, we take a leisurely walk along the banks of the Rapti River, admiring the charming sunset views in the sub-tropical jungle.
We embark on an jeep safari and venture deep into the jungle. Keep your eyes peeled for the incredible wildlife that call this park home, from the iconic one-horned rhinoceros to deer and maybe even the elusive Bengal tiger.
We conclude our day with a canoe ride along the tranquil waters, surrounded by lush greenery. As we glide through the river, we observe the crocodile, diverse birdlife and soak in the serenity of this natural oasis.
After a relaxed morning in Chitwan, drive to Pokhara. It is often referred to as the “Jewel of the Himalayas” due to its stunning natural beauty and breathtaking views of the Annapurna mountain range.
In the afternoon, our guide will accompany us on a foot trip to Phewa Lake. We have the opportunity to enjoy a 30-minute paddling boat ride, immersing ourselves in the tranquility of the lake surrounded by stunning mountain views. In the evening, we visit the Barahi Temple, where we can participate in a spiritual chanting experience guided by a guru.
Our first stop today is a boat ride across Phewa Lake, followed by a one-hour walk to reach the World Peace Pagoda. You will be rewarded by panoramic views of the Annapurna range and Pokhara Valley from this vantage point.
Next, we visit the Gupteshwar Gufa Cave, also known as the Shiva Gufa. This mystical cave holds religious significance and features impressive limestone formations. We then proceed to the Seti River Gorge, where the river has carved a deep gorge through the city, creating a breathtaking natural spectacle.
Our exploration continues with a visit to Devi’s Fall, a mesmerizing waterfall that cascades into an underground cavern. We conclude the day with a trip to the International Mountain Museum, where we can learn about the history, culture, and mountaineering expeditions of the Himalayan region.
In the early morning, around 5 am, we drive to Sarangkot to witness the awe-inspiring sunrise over the Himalayas. Sarangkot is a hilltop viewpoint situated at an elevation of about 1,600 meters (5,250 feet). On a clear day, you will see Annapurna Massif, Dhaulagiri, and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail).
After enjoying the sunrise, we drive back to Kathmandu. The rest of the day is free for you to explore the city at your own pace. You can visit local markets, indulge in Nepalese cuisine, or simply relax and reflect on the incredible experiences of your journey.
Today marks the end of our journey as we prepare for departure. Our team will assist you with your transfer to the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu.
