10 Days Guizhou In-depth Tour
Go beyond the typical tourist trails with this 10-day in-depth exploration of Guizhou. Begin your journey in Guiyang and travel through the province’s lush mountains to discover authentic Miao and Dong minority villages. Experience vibrant festivals, traditional silversmithing, and witness daily life in wooden stilt houses.
Marvel at the stunning rice terraces of Jiabang and Zhaoxing, and capture photos of the iconic Dong drum towers and covered bridges unique to the region. Hike scenic countryside paths past waterfalls and winding rivers, and come across age-old waterwheels and terraced farms.
Tour highlights also include the mesmerizing Huangguoshu Waterfall, ancient Qing Dynasty towns, and bustling local markets rich with textiles, embroidery, and unique Guizhou flavors.

Drive to Libo in the morning, arrive at Libo Daxiao Hole Scenic Resort. Walk, and take the sightseeing bus in the long and narrow valley to enjoy waterfalls, forest, caves.
Firstly drive to visit Basha Miao Village, which is known as the last “Gunmen Tribe”. They worship trees, and allow male adult to carry hunting gun and knife. Next, visit Zhaoxing Dong Village, it is the biggest village of Dong people in China. The village is hidden among the mountains, with a small river passing through.
Up in the mountain, around 7km’s away by sightseeing bus, arrive at Tangan Dong Village. The classic hiking route starts from this village downhill to Zhaoxing Dong Vilage, you will pass through layers of rice fields, it takes around 2-3 hours. After, have some free time on your own.
In the morning, drive around 2.5hrs to Shiqiao Miao Village, ancient papermaking skill since Tang dynasty is well preserved here, use bark fiber to make paper, add botanicals, experience it for yourself. After lunch, continue driving to visit Xijiang Miao Village, it is the largest Miao inhabited village in China.
After breakfast, drive to Matang Gejia Village, it is known for the national intangible cultural heritage of Wax-Resist Dyeing, watch and experience the batik painting on your own. Visit Feiyunya in the afternoon, minorities come here to celebrate festivals, have a peaceful and lovely walk to appreciate the distinctive ancient buildings.
Jiangkou is the closest town to Mount Fanjing, within half an hour’s drive, arrive at the entrance. Take sightseeing bus(30 min) at first, then switch to cable car(10 min), lastly climb on the stone steps(30 min) to view the Mushroom Rock. You can choose to continue to the summits, the steps gets narrow and stiff, chains are used to maneuver up and down, be prepared for a thrilling and challenging hike! After, drive to Zhenyuan.
In the morning, take a walk along the winding roadway to explore the four old and well-preserved alleys. Later, visit Qinglong Cave Ancient Architectures, built in Ming Dynasty, the complex on cliffs integrates Confucianism, Taoism, and Buddhism. Climb to the top, enjoy a panoramic view of Zhenyuan Ancient Town encircled by Wuyang River. Later, drive to Anshun.
Drive around 1 hour to Huangguoshu Waterfall National Park, the largest waterfall in China and Asia, it is 77.8 meters high and 101 meters wide. After sightseeing, drive to Xingyi.
After breakfast, visit Wangfenglin Geopark, the electric shuttle bus brings you around, on top it offers a bird’s-eye view of the Karst peak forests and lovely minority villages below. In the afternoon, visit Minghe Canyon, take the elevator up, walk to appreciate the roaring numerous waterfalls.
Visit Qingyan Ancient Town, which is 30km away from Guiyang city. After, transfer to airport or train station, service finishes.
