7 Days Jiuzhaigou And Chengdu Tour

Day 1: Arrival in Chengdu

Arrival: Arrive in Chengdu, the vibrant capital of Sichuan Province. You will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel.

Evening suggestion: If you arrive early, you can walk around Chunxi Road or enjoy local Sichuan hotpot for dinner.

Day 2: High-Speed Train to Jiuzhaigou, Visit Huanglong

Morning: Take the high-speed train from Chengdu to Jiuzhaigou (approximately 2 hours). Upon arrival, transfer to Huanglong Scenic Area.

Huanglong Scenic Area: Famous for its stunning multi-colored pools and picturesque landscape, Huanglong is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enjoy the unique sights of its limestone ponds, waterfalls, and lush forests.

Evening: Check in to your hotel in Jiuzhaigou. Relax and prepare for a full day of exploration the next day.

Day 3: Explore Jiuzhaigou National Park

Full Day at Jiuzhaigou National Park: Jiuzhaigou is divided into three main valleys to explore: Zechawagou (18 km), Rizegou (17 km), and Shuzhenggou (14 km). The journey begins with the eco bus taking you through Shuzhenggou and arriving at the Nuorilang Transition Center. From here, you’ll either be transferred to Long Lake or the Primeval Forest, depending on the dispatching desk. From these destinations, you can walk and hop on the eco bus at main sights anytime.

Highlights: Visit iconic spots such as Nuorilang Waterfall, Five-Flower Lake, Pearl Shoal Waterfall, and Mirror Lake.

Evening: Return to your hotel in Jiuzhaigou for a restful evening.

Day 4: Return to Chengdu

Morning: Take the high-speed train back to Chengdu.

Afternoon/Evening: Arrive back in Chengdu and transfer to your hotel.

Day 5: Drive to Leshan, and Mount Emei

Morning: Drive to Leshan (around 2 hours). Visit the famous Leshan Giant Buddha, a towering 71-meter statue carved into a cliff overlooking the confluence of three rivers.

Afternoon: On the way to Emei, pay a visit to Huanglongxi Ancient Town a charming town with over 1,700 years of history, featuring well-preserved ancient architecture, narrow cobblestone streets, and serene waterways.

Evening: Arrive at Mount Emei, and check in to your hotel at the base of the mountain.

7 Days Jiuzhaigou And Chengdu Tour

Day 6: Visit Mount Emei, Return to Chengdu

Morning: Take the sightseeing bus (around 2 hours) to Leidongping Station. From there, walk 1.5 km up a set of stairs, and then take a cable car to the Golden Summit. Once at the summit, enjoy the panoramic views and take your time to explore the surrounding area at your leisure.

Afternoon: After exploring Mount Emei, drive back to Chengdu.

Evening: Watch traditional Sichuan opera show with the famous face-changing performance.(optional)

Day 7: Chengdu City Highlights with Giant Panda Base, Departure

Morning: Start your day with a visit to the Chengdu Giant Panda Base, where you can watch the adorable pandas. Afterward, drive to Qingyang temple, a renowned Taoist temple, the largest and oldest Taoist temple in Chengdu.

Afternoon: Head to People’s Park to enjoy tea at a local teahouse while observing locals dancing and playing Mahjong. Then explore the historic Kuanzhai Alley, dating back to the Qing dynasty. You can find interesting souvenirs here.

Departure: End your tour here, with the option to extend your stay or proceed to the airport/train station(on your own).
