Day 1: Harbin Arrival
Welcome to Harbin, the largest and most special city in the northern part of China! After landing in Harbin you will meet your driver for a transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day you can take it easy and acclimatise. You can relax or take a short walk near your hotel to get familiar with the area. Also this could be a moment to try out some nice local food somewhere 🙂
Day 2: Siberia Tiger Park, Sun Island and Harbin Ice and Snow World
The day starts with a trip to Siberia Tiger Park to see the conservation efforts for Siberian tigers. In case we didn’t get bitten by the tigers, we will afterwards visit the monumental Stalin Park along the Songhua River. Here we can take a moment so see the beautiful St. Sophia Church and its amazing architecture.
In the afternoon, we will explore the snow sculptures on Sun Island, which are part of an annual exhibit. You will be amazed by what people can create from just snow!
End the day at the famous Harbin Ice and Snow World, where you can walk through the ice structures and enjoy yourself by buying souvenirs, eating local Harbin food, or just meeting strangers along the way.
Day 3: Harbin to China Snow Town 280km/6-7hrs
On day 3, we will go on an exciting journey to China Snow Town. Once we arrive, we’ll head to the viewing deck, where you’ll be treated to breathtaking panoramic views of the snow-covered town. After that (and if you still have some breath left ;)) we will walk along Xueyun Avenue, where you will be walking right through the the charming wooden houses. It’s like stepping into a winter paradise film! If you like, you can also hop on one of the commonly used dog sled rides! At night, witness the vibrant float parade, Chinese Yangko dancing, and join the mesmerising bonfire party (subject to weather conditions). Wow! What a day 3 this is…. 🙂
Day 4: China Snow Town to Erdaobaihe (Changbai Mountain) 370km/6-7hrs
Today we’re off to Erdaobaihe, the gateway town of the magnificent Changbai Mountain. Before we reach our destination, we’ll make a (very important) stop at Jingpo Lake, where you’ll witness a local-style Winter Fishing Watching event. We are sure you’ll be amazed by the skill and precision of the local fishermen as they navigate the frozen lake, showcasing their age-old fishing techniques.
After checking in at the hotel in Erdaobaihe, you can experience a relaxing hot spring (public) provided by the hotel for free.
Day 5: Changbai Mountain Sightseeing
Good morning – This is day 5! Get ready for a day filled with natural wonders as we explore the breathtaking Changbai Mountain. Our first stop is the North Slope, where we’ll discover the beauty of Heavenly Lake- the highest volcanic lake. Next, we will go to Changbai Waterfall, which will can admire from a distance. It looks like a gorgeous milky way falling in the white snow sky. A great Instagram moment ;). Continue to visit nearby Julong Spring. It is the most famous hot spring in Changbai Mountain and the water temperature is usually above 60°C. Later, go to Green Deep Pool Waterfall, it’s formed by two streams of mountain spring water, dropping from a 26-m-high cliff. After that, we return to our hotel to digest all the wonders we’ve seen today.

Day 6: Changbai Mountain Departure
Our last day. We will miss you!
It’s time to say farewell to this winter paradise. We’ll provide you with a seamless transfer service to the airport or train station. We do hope to see you next time! Please spread the word about Yellowbird tour for us!
