This winter excursion offers scenic delights in Harbin and ski fun in Yabuli. Wander immense ice sculptures at Harbin’s renowned Ice and Snow Festival. Warm up with local specialties like dumplings. Then head north to the alpine town of Yabuli situated at 1500-1800m, known for its 15km of beginner to expert ski runs that receive over 5m of powder annually. Both destinations provide opportunities to experience dazzling winter panoramas and cultural activities, all bundled up in the breathtaking natural scenery of northeast China’s outdoors.
Pick up at airport, transfer to reserved hotel in Harbin. The rest of the day is yours to explore this winter wonderland. Enjoy beautiful night view yourself by walking on the Central Avenue, and to Saint Sophia Cathedral – the largest Orthodox Church in the Far East.
Drive to Yabuli Ski Resort in the morning. In Qing Dynasty it was a hunting paddock for the royal family, now Yabuli serves as the largest ski resort in China, it is also famous for holding the 2009 Winter Games. After lunch, start to ski! 3 hours skiing on the primary ski field is included with free rental of boots, skis and poles. Extra fee is required if you need more ski time or change to higher field.
After breakfast, sit on sledge pulled by horse, enjoy scenery passing by on the snow land. The other fun activity is one of local’s favorite- sit on the snow tube, slide down along snow trail! Finally drive back to Harbin.
In the morning, drive to Harbin Sun Island Park(aka International Snow Sculpture Art Expo), this winter theme park is mainly to watch snow sculptures, it is best seen in the sunlight! Continue to visit nearby Siberian Tiger Park, located on the north bank of Songhua River, it is the largest natural park for wild Siberian tigers in the world. After dinner, visit the enchanting Ice and Snow World. You can enjoy the world’s highest, longest and largest ice and snow landscape. There are also all kinds of ice sports in the park! Lights are on at night, watch the shining ice sculptures under the dazzling colors, immerse yourself in the festival fairyland!
Drive 1 hour to visit Volga Manor, a Russian-style theme park, which is named after one of the best-known rivers in Russia-Volga River. The park features Russian architecture, arts and cuisine, a great place to experience Russia cultures! In the afternoon, take a visit to the Binzhou Railway Bridge. Later, transfer to the airport, tour ends.
