Begin your Tibet adventure in Lhasa, where you’ll explore its most iconic landmarks. Visit the majestic Potala Palace, the sacred Jokhang Temple, and lively Barkhor Street, where you can watch pilgrims circle the temple and shop for traditional crafts.
Discover the peaceful monastic life at Sera and Drepung Monasteries, joining monks in their courtyards as they chant and debate Buddhist philosophy.
Venture beyond the city to the breathtaking blue waters of Yamdrok Lake, one of Tibet’s most beautiful highland lakes, surrounded by snow-capped peaks and prayer flag-strewn hillsides.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Lhasa (3650m)
Upon your arrival at Lhasa Gonggar Airport or the train station, our local Tibetan guide will greet you and transfer you to your hotel in the city (approx. 70km, 1 hour drive). Spend the rest of the day resting and acclimatizing to the high altitude and plateau environment.
Day 2: Lhasa City Tour – Drepung Monastery & Sera Monastery
After breakfast, visit Drepung Monastery, the largest monastery in Lhasa, once home to over 10,000 monks. Enjoy lunch at the monastery restaurant (at your own expense). In the afternoon, continue to the Sera Monastery to observe the famous monk debate session.
Day 3: Lhasa City Tour – Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple & Barkhor Street
Today you’ll explore the heart of Tibetan culture. Visit the Potala Palace, the iconic winter residence of the Dalai Lama. In the afternoon, tour the sacred Jokhang Temple and take a walk around the Barkhor Street pilgrimage circuit. Enjoy local culture with a stop at a Tibetan sweet tea house.
Day 4: Day Trip to Yamdrok Lake (4440m) – Return to Lhasa
Travel along the scenic route over Kambala Pass to reach Yamdrok Lake, one of the three sacred lakes in Tibet. Enjoy stunning panoramic views from Lurila Viewpoint and appreciate the lake’s turquoise waters, surrounding snowy peaks, and islands. Visit Samding Monastery on the lake’s peninsula and stop at a lakeside café for lunch and coffee. After a relaxed lakeside experience, return to Lhasa via the same route.
Day 5: Departure from Lhasa
Transfer to the airport or train station for your onward journey. Tour ends.

Dawei is a Tibetan Buddhist, and comes from the most north edge of the Tibetan plateau in Qinghai province, Western China. He has travelled as a tour leader to many South Asian countries such as India, Bhutan and also nearly the entire country of China. He focuse especially on guiding in Qinghai, Gansu, Sichuan, Ningxia provinces and Tibetan regions. The activities of these various tour groups have included adopting family, horse racing, hiking, bird watching, cycling, camping, overseas students, cultural and religious sightseeing.

Andrew was born and grew up in a small village of Zhangjiajie, Hunan. From 2009-2012 he works for royal Caribbean International cruise as an onboard guest services officer. After that, he dedicates his life/time to guiding and operating tours in Zhangjiajie and around. As a native person, he knows all the corner of the scenic area, such as good restaurants, souvenir shops and cultures.
