Discover the coastal beauty and cultural wonders of southeast China with our 3 Days Xiamen and Gulangyu Island Tour!
Begin your trip exploring the vibrant city of Xiamen. On the second day, travel to the UNESCO-listed Yongding Tulou clusters, unique round Hakka village houses known for their fascinating architecture and communal living traditions. Visit Zhencheng Building, Kuiju Building, and Rusheng Building to experience the heart of Hakka culture.
On your final day, enjoy a ferry ride to the stunning Gulangyu Island, a UNESCO “Museum of Architecture” blending Chinese and Western styles. Stroll through Shuzhuang Garden, explore the unique Piano Museum, and experience the relaxing Sea Garden Paradise. Afterwards, return to Xiamen to visit the historic Nanputuo Temple, walk the scenic Huandao Road (“golden coastline”), and finish in the creative Shapowei Art Zone.
All tours are led by experienced English-speaking guides, with comfortable hotels and seamless transfers included.

Day 1: Xiamen Arrival
Picked up at airport, transfer to hotel. The rest of the day is yours to rest, or walk around in the city.
Day 2: Xiamen-Yongding Tulou Cluster: Zhencheng Building, Kuiju Building, Rusheng Building
Yongding Tulou is located in Longyan City, Fujian Province, on the southeast coast of China. The Hakka Walled villages are famous for its round building style. Inside the Tulou architecture, first floor is usually used as kitchen, second floor is granary, and people live on the third and fourth floors. In July 2008, Fujian Tulou was listed as a world cultural heritage.
From the city to drive to Tulou it takes about 3 hours by car. We will visit the magnificent Zhencheng Earth Building, overlook small and exquisite Kuiju Earth Building, and finally appreciate the Potala Palace-like Kuiju Earth Building.
Day 3: Xiamen: Gulangyu Island, Nanputuo Temple, Huandao Road, Shapowei Art Zone & Departure
Picked up at the hotel and then take a 20-minutes’ ferry to Gulangyu Island. Gulangyu Island is known as the Museum of Architecture of all nations. First of all, visit the Sea Garden Paradise, which is the largest villa group on the Island, the combination of Chinese and Western architecture is highly praised. Then go to Shuzhuang Garden, it was used to be the garden of a rich Taiwanese businessmen built just by the sea. There is also a Piano Museum in the park, hundreds of pianos from all over the world are collected here, enjoy yourself while listening to a wonderful piano performance.
In the afternoon, go back to Xiamen city and visit Nanputuo Temple, the buddhist temple is located at the foot of Wulao Peak, the history can trace back to Tang Dynasty. Next, visit Huandao Road, known as “golden coastline in China”, it is built along the coast, from Xiamen University to the International Conference & Exhibition Center. Finally go to Shapowei Art Zone. Shapowei used to be a shelter place for local fishermen. The West Art Zone is full of art and craft workshops. After that, transfer to the airport, tour ends.
